Oklahoma Mobilizes Nat'l Guard Against Illegal Immigrants

Our friends over at ByronCrawford.com will be pleased to learn today that Oklahoma will be sending 300 National Guard troops to assist the border patrol in rounding up immigrants crossing the border illegally.

This is another wack example of the State's intolerance to provide safe passage to those Latinos coming to the US looking for work. Instead of the reactionary, fear-mongering policy of "securing the borders", the task of hip-hoppers and workers nationally should be working towards radical policy that secures the protection and safeguarding of those immigrants who want to migrate to our country. We need more Latinos in this country who will bring with them their own radical traditions, history, and values which will be a useful tool for our unique national struggle for exclusive worker control.

Politicians take their cue from us. We decide through our activity the kind of policies which determine the fate of millions of workers, including illegal immigrants. Our position should be one of tolerance, not reactionary nationalism. How would King side on this? How would Malcolm X and Huey Newton fall on this issue?
